This project relocated a number of spaces within the electronics area. The megatronics labs; electronics workshops; welding and robot rooms; as well as student learning and staff research spaces were combined into a new purpose-built facility. For this we acted as specialist laboratory consultants to Opus International.
The labs have been designed to meet the future needs and developments in technology.
The significant features in this building are the inter-relationships betweens spaces which have been cleverly positioned with open voids and internal windows, allowing for observation of both staff and students at work.
These modern teaching environments are now benefitting from the introduction of high visibility, natural light, and the opportunity for the outside to see into the working spaces. This then introduces interest and provides for stimulating work environments.
