For this project, the refurbishment of the ground floor of the Ag/Hort B building, we acted as specialist laboratory consultants to Sinclair Knight Mertz.

This project created modern purpose-built spaces for the integration of a number of disparate laboratories, to form the Soils Group.  They incorporate specialist spaces for rock cutting, polishing, storage, rock classification, bio-security and other associated facilities.

The integration of the different laboratories encourages more interaction between groups. Plus the high visibility incourages the sharing of information and knowledge. The high quality space, with natural light and efficient systems for environmental control means that the laboratories are comfortable to work in and easy to maintain.
