Our People

Our team is lead by three Directors / Principals who are all registered architects. They are supported by our team of architects, technicians, and interior designers.

Our team has extensive experience and knowledge in the design, documentation and construction of scientific facilities. Their backgrounds and their areas of expertise differ, but as a team we have the breadth and depth of experience required to deliver first class facilities, that not only look good, but are practical.

When working with us you will soon appreciate that we are people who have a passion for architecture and a strong desire to find the best solution for our clients.

To create a quality built environment is our reason to exist as design professionals.  The purpose of science is to improve life and knowledge in the world. Therefore creating brilliant scientific architecture is a vital part of improving humanity. Not only are the businesses and lives of the users directly enhanced, but indirectly the lives of our communities as a whole.  This is the inspiration that drives us to do the best for our clients.

I enjoy the challenge of restoring architecture to laboratories. Working as part of a team where we have the opportunity to improve someone's environment, through good architectural design

Sound documentation is key to any successful building project. Communicating the client's expectations to the contractor is critical in achieving the desired result. We accomplish this with clear and reliable documents along with open and honest communication with the client and contractor throughout the project.

Architect - BA Arch, Dip Arch, MA, RIBA

As a traditional modernist architect, I believe "form follows function". The plan is key. It develops, questions and informs the brief. By working closely with our clients and informing them at all key stages, we ensure they are fully involved in the design process from concept to construction. As architects, we are driven to deliver a design that is not only fit for purpose but will inspire and excite its users and enhance the surrounding environment.

There is something deeply satisfying in working with clients to develop buildings and spaces that more than meet their needs, but also gets them excited about creating a better environment in which to live and work

It is important that the architectural solution provided not only meets (or exceeds) the functional and practical requirements of the Client but that it also creates spaces which provide an on-going sense of delight.  Not only should the solution create delight, but the process of achieving the solution should be a delight as well.

Laboratories are by necessity highly practical spaces. In addition to ensuring that functionality is paramount, user comfort and design interest is vital in laboratory architecture. By considering the client's work and personal needs, allows the design to become a complete package

By bringing fresh ideas and design flair to the table we take clients ideas even further.  Providing intuitive solutions and clear visualisation tools allows our clients see their projects come to life.  In aid of this journey I provide 3D imaging, CAD modelling and material palettes which clients find invaluable. To further extend our clients ideas we are continuously exploring greener and more sustainable solutions to each design.
