The Research Centre accommodates 50 science staff in a purpose designed modern working environment, where the specialist laboratory areas include chemistry laboratories, PC2 molecular laboratories, wet laboratories, a flow tank and workshop spaces.

Congratulations to our partners Architectus, who received an NZIA award in the Education category for the design of the new Science Centre at The University of Auckland.

Lab-works Architecture worked as a specialist laboratory consultant with Architectus in the design of a new multi-story building and the renovation of an existing laboratory building, at University of Auckland for the Schools of Chemistry, Environment and Psychology. The completed development brings together various research groups which have been scattered across the city into a single location. The project incorporates post-graduate research laboratories, associated support spaces and faculty offices.
